GENDER BATTLE’
Cosey's work is presently being shown in two exhibitions which run through to mid December.
Contemporary Art Centre of Galicia, Santiago de Compostela, SPAIN
13th September - 9th December 2007
Much has changed since the 1970s when, in the Anglo-Saxon context ofproduction and cultural agitation, diverse artists and theorists gotinvolved in the task of demystifying the conventional tools of gender. However, it is necessary to rethink the practices that gave life to theproductions of deconstruction and revelation of diverse feministcurrents, studies of gender, and postcolonial studies. This display will analyze different productions of this age to confront andjuxtapose them against current reality.
